Beautiful crisp morning and 24 degrees of warmth as we enjoyed our River City cruise. Loved the Southbank area - Brisbane's cultural centre - including the cafes and show The Bodyguard at Lyric Theatre last night.
On leaving Port Macquarie and rounding a bend at 95Km/h, a caravan towed by a ute in front of us lost a good deal of his load. With debris spread over both lanes, it was a matter of running over what we couldn't avoid. A mighty whump followed and on arriving at Coffs Harbour, we found quite a bit of our undercarriage plumbing mising. Handy Mr Fixit has his work cut out tomorrow! (Maybe he can rig something up using this Thong Tree?)
These amazing layered sedimentary rocks near Port Arthur look like Inca paving stones, having eroded over millennia into oblong blocks about 40cm high. Australian geology/geography is really interesting and varied.
Blown away by this house when we drove the Great Ocean Road a while ago, but didn’t get a photo then. Now we’re tripping it again with Katie and managed to stop nearby for a pic. Suspended 40 metres above the road at Fairhaven Beach, it’s the most photographed house on the Great Ocean Road, probably Australia, and was featured on their Grand Designs a few years ago.
Love Brissy! I lived in Paddington when I was there. Lots of hipster cafés.
